Dongfeng showcased its full-line of forklift trucks for the first time in Europe this past May at CeMAT in Hannover, Germany, and made a lasting impression with the international media and visitors alike.
On display were 10 diesel, electric and LPG fueled machines, including the 2015AT, 2015A, 2020A, 2030H, 2050H and 2160H forklifts.
CeMAT, one of the world’s top logistics tradeshows, attracted more than 1100 companies and 60,000 visitors from around the globe. Dongfeng’s primary goal at the show was to promote the Dongfeng brand, recruit dealers and generate sales leads.
Dongfeng has already established itself as a formidable global competitor in the construction equipment market, therefore, made a major media relations push to promote itself in the forklift sector. Interest from the media was high and continues to grow since the show.
Prior to the show, Dongfeng reached out to over 140 industry trade publications to stir interest and invite editors to the booth to learn more about Dongfeng and the material handling division.
Dongfeng distributed its press kit throughout the show to more than 200 international media outlets that were in attendance. The branded press kit included product releases and images, a material handling division fact sheet, executive biographies and images and a news release announcing its launch into the Western markets.
Dongfeng met with over 23 editors and writers, along with hosting eight one-on-one interviews at the Dongfeng booth with Dongfeng managers including Mr. Luo Guobing, Mr. Deng Tao and Mr. Ken Biediger. Editors expressed a keen interest in Dongfeng’s full-line offering, as well as its dealer network and after sales support.

This was our coming out party for forklifts and we accomplished our key goal for the show, which was to introduce Dongfeng as a company to the forklift market. “
