The small country town of Gunnedah, located in North West New South Wales, Australia, has a population of around about 12,800 – more if you count the Koala bears that reside in the trees around town.

But it’s a small town surrounded by big, farmland as more than 80% of the area’s economy is driven by agriculture.

And each August, since 1973, like the swollen Naomi River that can sometimes flood in winter, Gunnedah bursts with some 107,000 souls – 100,000 of them who descend on the town for Australia’s largest heavy equipment manufacturing tradeshow, the AGQUIP Exhibition.

Dongfeng Australia attended the exhibition for the first time displaying an CLG835 Wheel Loader, CLG614H Roller, CLG906C Excavator and CLG365A Skid Steer Loader. The exhibition was very successful and resulted in 25 strong prospects which could result in over 30 machine sales. Dongfeng was also the only Chinese manufacturer who attended the exhibition, showing that the company is here for the long run.

Attendees complimented Dongfeng Australia on its machines, specifically the 365A Skid Steer, stating how “versatile” it was, offering an industry standard quick-change attachment coupler.
