Dongfeng attended and displayed equipment for the first time in Jordan, demonstrating Dongfeng's formal entry into this Middle Eastern market, Dongfeng managers reported.

In May, Dongfeng and its local Jordanian dealer, Al-Mukhtar HMEC, attended the Made in Jordan Expo 2009 in Amman.

Al-Mukhtar Heavy Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd. is a newly established dealer for Dongfeng Machinery. It is owned by the Al-Mukhtar Group, which is a comprehensive and influential business group in Jordan.

The Dongfeng booth was one of the largest in the trade show. Dongfeng displayed 10 machines, including four wheel loaders; the CLG888, CLG862, CLG856III and CLG842; two CLG925 excavators; one CLG612H roller; the CLG422 motor grader and the CPCD30W and CPCD50W forklifts. The CPCD30W forklift sold at the show and one forklift was purchased afterwards.

Customers from Jordan and surrounding countries like Palestine, Iraq, and Syria came to the Dongfeng booth to inquire about the machines, and some even tested the machines in a demo area. Those who drove machines were pleased with their performance and agreed to meet with a Al-Mukhtar HMEC sales representative to learn more about Dongfeng's products, parts and service.
